Weddings start at $1,100 for Austin, Albert Lea and Rochester, Minn. Contact me for a quote on weddings in the Twin Cities — Mexico and abroad. I am available for destination weddings.

I shoot 35mm film, color and black and white, and for weddings in the Midwest region, I turn over the film at the end of the wedding day. The newly-weds then process the film for prints and at this time request a CD with the pictures in digital form. This allows you to have both prints and digital images. You also have the negatives which allows you to make enlargements of the finest quality.
There are many options with your film and I am happy to make suggestions.
With a typical wedding, which does not exist, I arrive a few hours before the wedding begins. I photograph the bride, groom and wedding party as they prepare for the day. Dressing, make-up, a prayer session, beer and cheese... Whatever I come across, I shoot.

While many in the wedding photography business claim to be photojournalist, keep in mind I am a true photojournalist and this is what I bring to your wedding day. I tell the story of your wedding with an average of 600 pictures.

Destination Wedding Information

I also photograph weddings in Mexico and beyond. With destination weddings, I often shoot more considering the time and effort invested in the wedding. As an example, you may plan to go horseback riding, or fishing, or build a giant sand castle on the beach; these are the pictures that I pursue and what I think makes a fantastic documentation of your wedding days. Over the phone, we will talk about your plans for the wedding and what you want from your photographs as well as my style. Upon my arrival, I like to schedule time with the bride and groom to visit and bond on a creative, personal level. We will discuss your plans for the wedding and so much more, then plan accordingly on what I will photograph. I often shoot for two days, about 8 hours each day.

Money: Let's assume you are planning a wedding in Mexico, and airfare is $400 roundtrip (departing Minneapolis). I have a flat fee of $1,800 to photograph your wedding day and another eight hours as you choose. Your total cost is $2,200. If you can not provide lodging, add $100 per day. I require a minimum of two nights.

Unlike domestic, or weddings in the Midwest, I will process the film and provide prints and the digital CD at no additional cost. Why do this for destination weddings and not the Midwest? With air travel and scanning and radiation, I prefer to manage the film for the peace of mind, both mine and yours. I do not edit. I turn over all photographs, negatives and the CD's within 7-10 days of returning home.

A $200 deposit is required to secure your destination wedding, $100 for weddings in the Midwest.

Important: Your wedding date is not secured until a deposit has been recieved.
